Do you create original patterns or illustrations?
Yes, all my patterns are originals. Some are based on photos I captured out on my nature walks, and some are created from sketches of the forest and fields along the way.
Are your designs available for licensing?
Yes, all my designs are available for art licensing for textiles, home decor, stationery fashion, and other products.
Do you accept custom or commissioned design work?
So far, I haven't done any custom or commissioned work, but am willing to collaborate to find a solution that works for myself and art directors.
Can you work from a creative brief?
Yes, much of my work has been created from a brief.
Can you create custom colourways?
Yes. I have a personal preference for clear, bright and playful colours, but that doesn't limit me in my pattern design. Some of my best work has been created when I am designing to a specific colour palette outside of my usual comfort zone.
Can you create coordinating patterns for a collection?
Yes. I usually begin with an idea for the first pattern, and all the other designs feed off the first one. I try to include the basics like stripes, plaids, and polka dots, and go from there. Elements and motifs from the first pattern tie all the designs together.
Can artwork be adapted for different products and scales?
Yes. much of my work revolves around seamless repeat patterns, but can be reworked into border prints or circular prints, for example.
What file formats do you provide?
All the patterns shown in this portfolio are available as vector based, print ready Illustrator files, complete with pattern layers and colour swatch information. Other high resolution file formats are available, including pdf or jpeg.
Do you use AI in your designs?
This one's a hard no. I'm using programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, and SketchUp, and I use my photographs for inspiration motif development, but my designs are my own creations. AI is best left out of my art practice.
Do you offer exclusive licensing?
Yes. I am currently offering exclusive licensing, as well as single purchase licensing.

Can I see additional work that isn't currently in the portfolio?
All the work in the portfolio is in a ready-to-print format. I have other concepts and designs that are in development, and would be glad to show these and discuss further steps. Contact me to see work in development that might suit your needs.
